Kol Hadassa opened its doors in September 2012 with six wonderful girls; in just one year, this number grew to twenty. The teachers, guidance counselor/yoetztet and volunteers combine their passion and expertise, working together to create and implement a fantastic program.
After years in the educational field, Mrs. Rivka Aminoff noticed that the needs of many young people were not being met in the traditional school system. Mrs. Aminoff was determined to create a school where all students are given a chance to flourish and succeed. After going back to school for a Master’s degree in Jewish Education, she developed the Kol Hadassa program with the help of mentors, professionals and rabbinic counsel.
The curriculum at Kol Hadassa consists of three separate components: The Jewish Studies program is an inspiring blend of textual learning and philosophic, thought provoking classes and discussions. Special courses about the Jewish and Israeli national holidays, guest speakers and outings to significant religious sites are also included to enrich the academic experience of each student.
Our Academic Program leads to a fully accredited internationally recognized, high school diploma, and we enrich this program with our own, specially designed curriculum.
Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) offers extra-curricular programming to supplement the traditional subjects taught.
Our students, from English speaking communities around the world, have found success at Kol Hadassa. Upon graduation girls are encouraged to pursue their goals: to attend university, in Israel or abroad, begin Sherut Leumi, study in seminary or begin vocational training.
